John Higgins is the oldest player to win a match at the Masters since Eddie Charlton in 1986

Mark Williams today becomes the oldest person to play at the Masters since Cliff Wilson in 1989. He is a few months older than the last 50-something to play in the event, Steve Davis in 2008. If he wins he will be the oldest match winner since Eddie Charlton in 1986.
