You can't beat a real beef gravy made with dripping and then separated, though. It's a meal in itself :D

If you make your own gravy, using a separator and everything, it can be (for example) helpful to keep some instant onion gravy on hand to both add to the flavour and also thicken where it is too thin. Try to find a brand that isn't too salty though.
