Tory Minister @Jacob_Rees_Mogg tells Tonight with Andrew Marr that Brexit is a 'great success for the country'. Do you agree with him? @AndrewMarr9

@theJeremyVine "I am starting to think" Really? I am not sure you are. If he comes forward and it turns out he is innocent, his career is still finished. Perhaps you should start to think again.

I’m starting to think the BBC Presenter involved in the scandal should now come forward publicly. These new allegations will result in yet more vitriol being thrown at perfectly innocent colleagues of his. And the BBC, which I’m sure he loves, is on its knees with this. But it is his decision and his alone.

@BasuAshis @TABASCO Haha...really? So a long shelf-life as well as being a never ending brand. I love the stuff. A friend of mine told me that her father had a bottle of Angostura that lasted him "through three marriages".

@DaveJReid It’s a pleasure David! Enjoyed listening to your show. I recall calling the @TABASCO to enquire if the red sauce needed to be refrigerated, was pleasantly surprised when they said it will be stable for up to five years at room temperature!

@Tessadunlop @GBNEWS @jerryhayes1 Certainly sounds like a sincere apology to me. And big of Tessa to put it out there. Most would've hidden away. She'll be mortified at this. I spent some wonderful weeks with Tessa making a documentary for the Queen's obituary coverage. She's delightful.

@bbcnickrobinson He is being hounded out for being Boris Johnson. I reckon that's enough for most people.

Will Johnson’s defence … will anything we hear today change anyone’s minds ? Or will it simply confirm that A. Johnson is a habitual rule breaker & liar B. Boris is being hounded out by the establishment who can’t forgive him for Brexit (Delete where applicable) 4/4

That Boris defence in brief : I repeatedly assured you that there there were no parties & the rules were followed at all times  I now accept there were parties & the rules were, in fact, broken No-one told me In fact, my press officer told me to say the opposite 1/4

If the Boris Johnson defence is that he was told by his senior civil servants that the rules were being obeyed, this exchange with Cabinet Secretary, Simon Case, would seem to blow a rather gaping hole in it…..

Is Britain Exceptional? Analysis, Radio 4. Had a lot of fun putting this together with the Sunday Telegraph's Zoe Strimpel. Brilliant contributors stripping back centuries of myth to reveal the hidden roots of Britishness today. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

@dib50511659 @RobertLindsay They're learning to shoot, reload and shoot again. Nothing in that lesson about, "Oh yes, and be sure son not to actually hit the person you are shooting at."

@RobertLindsay Research in Vietnam revealed troops aimed over heads of combatants to scare them off. Training changed to create 'muscle memory' (used in police etc training) react first, think later (it saves lives) makes not shooting the conscious decision Guess what these two are doing.

@darrengrimes Oh.. So you like them when they score goals, but not when they express their opinions against racism and inequality? And you are not really sure within yourself why you don't like it, so say it is because it is not British. Are they British in your opinion Mr Grimes?

@darrengrimes Deliberately blunt thinking. The meanings of gestures change over time. They're doing the right thing. Good to remember the price paid in lives to enable ambivalent players to pimp their talent to sell fizzy drinks and bolster weird authoritarians.

@Tessadunlop @JKCorden He took the only good gag from the whole of Ricky Gervais's act. I don't know if it is still up, but if you want a laugh, have a look at Corden's Ask Me Anything on Reddit - a complete pile-on. Including, "Yeah...I went to school with James. I can confirm he was a twat then!"

When Charles III is crowned next May, a Hindu PM will leave No10 with his Indian wife to attend the ceremony. The Muslim Mayor of London will already be at Westminster Abbey. Security will be headed up by the Home Secretary, a Buddhist….
