These small things make the world worth returning to across generations. Intentional or not, when those tasked with stewardship miss that, even while chasing traditional gamers, one wonders if they don't yet fully grasp what built the hobby's soul. Players will keep the Wench alive at their tables. They always do. But for future generations, moments like this serve as warnings that the game's depth and history die by a thousand polite erasures. And, for those of you building a new relationship with the game, ask yourself, what things that you love will be erased when you are no longer are seen as relevant?
