@roathboy That explains why we didn’t spend a lot on transfers this year but I’d rather do it this way than losing money for the sake of it. We really need to start selling players for a huge profit.

Cardiff’s accounts are never inspiring and they had to eat shit after relegation, but they at least continue to stay the right side of the in terms of breaching spending rules. Also, Bulut was them going for it, which is what people wanted at the time. Unfair to bash on hindsight

@roathboy The spending is scary but 100% agree on the hindsight point. Fans (incl me) were happy at the time with the investment - unfortunately in hindsight those investments were terrible - albeit might well be different under BBM. Still waiting on football finance bubble to burst mind

I feel like the conversation around football is increasingly shaped by gambling, especially younger people, which I think should be a real cause for concern. I guess it was inevitable with the way the sport shamelessly courts and promotes betting firms, but it doesn’t bode well

Watched Wimbledon away to @CardiffCityFC Gab. We got deservedly beat 4-1 but I thought we played great. Cardiff are just miles too good for L1, I think they'd make the playoffs in the Championship. Proud of our lads though, SIXTEEN shots & never gave up.

@coachcatris @roathboy Out of interest where do you think Davies and Ashford's best positions are? Id say inside fwds where they're playing currently probably fits them well - can see Davies as 1 of 2 CFs but not up on his own, and 2 CFs barely a thing these days

@roathboy In reality Tanner is the only winger that we have in the squad. His instinct is to take on his man and get the ball in the box. Willock is a great inside forward, he and Tanner offer a balance. Davies + Ashford are makeshift wingers doing a decent job + the numbers show that

I hope Isaak Davies starts on Saturday. I feel like he’s had the fewest opportunities out of the attackers in recent weeks, playing about 90 minutes in total, spread over all seven 2026 games. I know he’s been playing Tanner into fitness, but his form doesn’t merit a sixth start

@roathboy What I liked was that even at 4-0 we was still pressing ahead and trying to get a 5th and at times we had every outfield player in their half.

That was the performance of a team that believe they’re going up. Completely dominant throughout and very comfortable. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few more comprehensive performances in the coming weeks as they relax into their dominant position. Comprehensively simple

Was so easy second half. But absolutely Salech back in next up
