Top teams don’t miss their chances. Thats the difference so often for Canada against teams like Morocco or Switzerland. Canada misses their chances and then get punished.

@_jacobschneider Or Canada just matched Morocco for most of that game despite missing 3 key starters and played a pretty balanced game against Switzerland. This team was better finishing and a few lapses away from a very good run.

I'm not sure there's a lot of positives to take away for Canada this summer.
- Davies fitness leads to roster spot Q's
- Failed to beat B&H, lost 1st in Group & home-field advantage
- Barely scraped by a poor 🇿🇦 side
- No answers to a top Morocco side from Marsch or his players

If anyone knows folks who will be at Expo tomorrow who might be interested in buying a large chunk of the high end Chabot cards in my collection let me know. I’m not motivated to piece it all out but it’s just sitting in a box for 4+ years now. So could do a favourable bulk deal.

@Dave_Cards Yeah, I think basically every team should at least listen to any offer on any player haha.
I’m fine giving this team one more season, but I agree the list of “complete untouchables” is 5x smaller than it was a year or two ago. Sanderson might be the only guy I consider that tbh

A day later and I’m still feeling the same way. I think this team probably runs it back w/ Yak getting a full year, and hopefully another legit middle-six scoring winger? And that’s probably fine.
Clock has to be ticking soon though for this core one would think.

Serious questions need to be asked about this team this offseason. Defensive depth is a clear must-add. But biggest concern by far is the complete lack of any primary or secondary offence over 2 playoffs now. If that’s what 7/18 are going to do in the playoffs nothing matters

@nhlsensandstuff I’m not at all inclined to run 7 out of town or think you need to blow it up but also like don’t hang up if someone calls to make a serious inquiry.

I think you’re fine to make some tweaks and try to run it back, and hope next season your entire DCore isn’t hurt come playoff time. But man, if they end up making it next year and we get Year 3 of 7/18 disappearing come playoff time, some very serious decisions will be needed
