The development of high-performance turfgrass starts with breeding. During a visit to Den Haan Seeds in the Netherlands, the Irish Turf & Landscape team discussed breeding varieties suited to modern sports surfaces. The visit also included a tour of the @ClubBrugge stadium, where Head Groundsman Axel outlined the demands placed on pitches used by two professional teams each week. Thanks to Ramon Timmermans and Klaas De Boeck for organising the visit. #TurfandLandscape

A valuable day out for ICL's R&D teams from AmegA Sciences & @GreenBestLtd It was the first opportunity for the full team to get together, so they visited @Wimbledon to see championship preparation first-hand. Head Groundsman @MrJWhistle led a tour, explaining the work behind preparing the turf and how selected ICL products fit into the programme. Seeing products used in real-world environments helps connect laboratory research with the practical demands faced by turf managers. #TurfandLandscape
