Thank you to the YES Partnership for hosting another inspirational Motivation Conference for our Year 9 students! From building balloon towers to becoming marketing apprentices, the day enabled students to work collaboratively, be creative and network with local businesses.

What an amazing week with our Shrek production. 3 sell out evenings and a matinee for primary schools. Well done to cast , crew and incredible staff to make this happen. Merch made by our artists and an amazing dragon animated for this post but it was that big and in the show!

The Davenant Jewish Society marked the festival of Purim on Tuesday. Students embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up, decorating masks and preparing Mishloach Manot (food gift bags) to present to their teachers.

Shrek starts tonight...... welcome to the swamp

Our aspiring Year 11 engineers spent the day in industry at Raytheon UK getting experience flying drones, problem solving the issue of space debris and building model aircraft. They represented the school wonderfully and approached each task with enthusiasm and creativity.

Davenant will be a swamp as the Musical Shrek takes place all next week. A huge cast , amazing sets and props with merchandise too. Get the last few tickets while you can. Swamp juice for kids and Farquaad Fizz for adults will be on sale. See you there

So much fun was had in Austria on the Davenant ski trip. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made it happen and well done to our students whose behaviour was excellent.

Ski trip having their first day on the slopes today after a long journey from Essex.

Today Jewish Society was joined by Rabbi Jordan to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.  We learned about Hannah Senesh, a Jewish paratrooper who risked and gave her life rescuing Jews from the Nazis. She was also gifted poet. We also created a memorial flame with messages of hope.

Year 8 students became engineers and enjoyed a day of problem solving with Raytheon UK, learning how drone technology is used in real-world scenarios like mountain rescue and conservation.

Please share with any sports group you think would be interested. We would love to be the home of some NetBall teams.

Welcome back everyone, Happy new Year, a crazy weather week, but we managed to have a little bit of fun in the snow.

Two nights of amazing talent on show. Swing band, concert bands, Orchestra, solo artists , rock bands, choirs, and of course the 100+ strong year 7 choir. Thank you to all the staff that made it happen, the performers and audience.....and the tractor joke .... merry Christmas

Great game at @FitzWimarcSch today for yr 10 essex cup. Fitz won a hard fought match. Congratulations and all the best for the next round.

Congratulations to our 6th form team who ran in the English schools cross country cup final in Rugby this weekend. What an achievement and experience. Big thank you to the parents and staff who made the drive and had muddy cars on the way home. #davenantisproud

What an amazing Christmas Fayre we had today. So many stalls and prizes won. Thank you to all who attended and our amazing Parents association. Next up is the Christmas concert. See you there.
