This year has been the most challenging year of my life battling with my invisible disease Crohn’s Disease. I’ve started my new infusion today… thank you to everyone who has wished me well and more importantly supported us through this hard time! @CrohnsColitisUK #crohnsdisease

How have I never heard of an aircraft that is called Vulcan. I guess I need to keep better tabs on the aircraft my friends across the pond have built because this is 100% badass looking.🤘😎

@TalkRockMusic Probably in a loft covered in dust. Have you the Iron Maiden Soundhouse tapes, 7 inch single? I can't find mine after moving house.

I lost my white label copy when I moved house twice and was so annoyed as all the band had signed it. Unfortunately, these things happen. I also lost my collector's version of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds box set. Can't replace these, along with a load of concert photos. Good to know you still have yours, treasure it.

Classic album of the day is by Diamond Head, 'Lightning To The Nations' originally released in 1980 in a plain white sleeve with no title or track listing, and was subsequently named after the first track on the album. It was sold through Sounds Magazine before the band were eventually signed. I remember buying two copies from the guy's - the first had one band member signature, and I was so impressed by the album, I sent for another and asked if all the band members could sign it, and they did. It's a great album, nice and heavy and chunky with a good mix of songs. Almost Sabbath like in places, but with enough originality to make their own stamp in the rock universe. They've come a long way since those early days, with nine studios and six live albums under their belts. They're a great bunch of guys with a good, solid fan base. This album displays their origins and the beginning of a great career. Give it a listen, it may surprise you and move you to hear more from the band. talkrockmusic.com/trma/814/ #RockOn

@TalkRockMusic Saw them a few times in their early days. The new Led Zeppelin tag probably didn't help them. I have the white label LP somewhere! Signed.

Classic album of the day is by Deep Purple 'Burn' the first album by Deep Purple Mark III, was released in February 1974 (52 years ago) to great success, reaching No. 3 in the UK and No. 9 in the US, and was followed up by a world tour. Interestingly, before settling on Coverdale as lead vocalist, the band had approached Paul Rodgers to join the band, but whilst he was interested, he was in the process of forming Bad Company. Blackmore was taken by Coverdale because he liked his blues tinged voice. Glen Hughes from Trapeze completed the change in the line-up and replaced Roger Glover on Bass. This is a good album, which reinvigorated Purple and delivered some true classic numbers that have been played through the annals of history. This is an album worthy of many hearings, so give your ears some rock massage and turn up the volume and enjoy the moments this iconic album brings. It's one of a kind. talkrockmusic.com/trma/147/ #RockOn
