@FrostyFinances I think most people know this is not normal but nobody knows when the music will stop and when it finally drops, it can drop really fast or trick people with multiple bull traps.

I really wish people that have experienced at least 20-30yrs of market activity (like myself) would speak up more. This is not normal. This is once in a lifetime market. This is where millionaires are made. If you're not pouring money into good quality names or even ETF's like $QQQ, you are missing out on future wealth. This kind of market will not last forever.

@VJNCapital Why is my twitter feed full of people pumping msft? They are losing the AI race, that's why it isn't pumping.

@adamkhootrader I asked Opus 4.6 every few weeks (and 4.7) about investing in urnm or copx 3 months ago, it said to trim copx and add to urnm. Now copx is near ATH while urnm is down 20%.

4 months ago I uploaded my portfolio to Claude ( Opus 4.7) and asked it to recommend what to add/hold/sell I did not follow it’s recommendations , just wanted to see how it would play out The stocks and etf it told me to sell ended up performing the best 😂 Stupid Claude told me to sell AIPO, SOXX, FTNT and cut loss on UNH in January They are up 59%, 38% , 54% and 20% respectively since then Without them , my portfolio would be flat and not up almost 14% YTD

@DavidKastille @Geiger_Capital It seemed pretty slow to me. Shopping online was a luxury. For most people buying from brick and mortar was just fine.

I am ultra bullish for the next 5+ years Yes, AI will be a bubble but right now is the time to load the boat The utility of AI is insane and just getting started This is the start of the biggest bull run we will ever see in our lives Generational wealth will be made

@bcardarella If everyone is 10x where are all the new features and new apps? Our work releases were just as many features pre-AI as now even though I see huge PRs flying everywhere.

It's weird that the US still doesn’t have a truly competitive open-source model lab. It’s clearly not a money problem. Several neolabs have raised billions. It’s not a compute problem. US labs have easier access to B200s/B300s than Chinese labs. So what is the issue?

Ppl seem to have tough time grasping: Ai is better than bottom 5-50% at a lot of different stuff, really fast and cheap, all at the same time. Ai is not better than the top decile at pretty much anything. There are quite a number of people who can't add value to ai output
the tiny corp@__tinygrad__

@Bencera The only people who think AI is really good at things is people who aren't that good at things themselves.

@JC_ParetsX I agree this is nothing like 2000. This is a tech on track to be bigger than the industrial revolution even if no ASI. But I think we're maybe still 5-10 years from replacing most jobs. Are all these investors willing to see low/negative cashflow until then?

Why do people keep comparing today’s market to 1999-2000? I’ve genuinely tried to find the similarities and I’m struggling. Can anyone explain the top conspiracy theories behind why this is supposedly the same environment?

@Layton_Gott There's nothing wrong visually with it that I can tell. They are just assuming it is AI because we output 10x the amount of features we normally do.

The "AI code isn't real code" debate is the dumbest thing in tech right now... Your users will never look at your codebase. They will never ask what model you used. They will never care if you typed every line yourself or if Claude wrote 90% of it. They open the app. It either works or it doesn't. That's it.

@GrantSlatton Nobody made 1 billion by selling 100 million copies for $10. App stores take 30% cut and then you're forgetting taxes on top of that. The number of apps that ever had 100m installs is a tiny fraction and probably 99% of them are free or created by multiple coders.

what do the "no such thing as ethical billionaires" people say about an individual who codes a great app that sells 100 million copies for $10 each who was exploited? zero marginal cost goods are weird

@Strange2048 @jarredsumner Rust guarentees no UAF in safe code, that is a major win. Crashing and giving you a stack trace in a completely unrelated function will waste you months of debugging.

@Klmsgp @jarredsumner Probably because they needed a reason to set themselves apart from all the other js runtimes and zig has a lot of optimization features.

@Strange2048 @jarredsumner It is still going to be way better for bun to switch to rust. I used opus for a C++ project and it still had multiple use after free even after telling it to scan the code until it couldn't find any issues.
