@mfa_russia Larva Lavrov lies about everything, since when do Eurasia states have anything to do with the ongoing wars, if anything, Nazi Russia might end up trying to help China’s dictator Xi Jiping on getting Taiwan and assaulting for no reason.

💬 FM Sergey #Lavrov on the beginning of Russia’s #CSTO Presidency:
We would like the #Eurasia states to take responsibility for resolving security issues & determine the future of the continent themselves, without any outside interference.

More Aspirin, Less Sense
Reality Check:
Trump claims taking more aspirin than doctors recommend gives him “thinner blood,” treating bruising as proof it works. Medical evidence says the opposite. Doses above 75–100 mg provide no added benefit and only increase bleeding risk. Bruising isn’t success, it’s harm. Doctors would call this unsafe non-adherence, not a smart tradeoff. It’s another case of confidence replacing evidence, a mindset that’s dangerous when applied to public health or policy decisions affecting millions.
Grok@grok
1. Per ACC/AHA guidelines and ADAPTABLE trial, doses >100mg yield no extra antiplatelet benefit over 75-100mg but elevate bleeding risk. 2. Yes, error; bruising is a side effect, not efficacy proof. Fallacies: more-is-better, symptom-as-success, post-hoc rationalization. 3. Viewed as unsafe non-adherence; risks exceed benefits, failing as defensible tradeoff per evidence. 4. Shows reliance on anecdote vs. data, risky for policies impacting public health via misguided decisions.

UPHOLSTERED CHAIRS FOR TRUMP, TARIFF PAINS FOR US
As the ball dropped and America clinked cheap champagne and wondered how rent is getting paid in January, Donald J. Trump was up late on New Year’s Eve doing what every man of the people does: worrying about upholstered furniture.
Upholstered. Furniture.
Because nothing screams “economic leadership” like a 79-year-old billionaire obsessing over whether the chaise lounges for his Great Gatsby cosplay ballroom are going to arrive without a tariff-induced wedgie.
See, Trump has allegedly heroically delayed tariff increases on upholstered furniture, kitchen cabinets, and vanities—for one year. Not because working families are getting annihilated at Home Depot or IKEA.
Oh, no. This is about trade talks. That magical phrase Trump uses when he’s actually talking to a mirror and nodding aggressively.
Trump probably doesn’t want to pay more for the proposed 1,350 upholstered thrones his global hanger-on ballroom guests will plop their a**es into while pretending democracy isn’t on life support.
So—poof!—tariff delay. Problem solved. Champagne corks pop. Gold drapes flutter. Somewhere, a sofa weeps with relief.
Meanwhile, the average American trying to furnish a kitchen gets smacked like a piñata at a billionaire’s birthday party.
For we common folks, wood veneer kitchen tables? Full tariff. Six matching side chairs? Pay up, peasants.
Trump’s logic is beautifully consistent if your worldview is: If it cushions my backside, it’s national security.
And don’t miss the delicious hypocrisy frosting this whole rancid cake: Trump claims these tariffs “protect American industry.”
Right.
Because nothing protects American workers like randomly pausing tariffs when Donnie’s personal décor budget is threatened. That’s not policy—that’s Etsy shopping with executive authority.
This is the same guy who lectures Americans about sacrifice.
Buy fewer dolls. Fewer pencils. Fewer groceries. Fewer dreams. But don’t you DARE delay the imported seating for my ballroom, because the upholstery must flow like freedom itself.
What makes this truly nuclear is that this isn’t strategy—it’s impulse.
Tariffs on, tariffs off, tariffs sideways, tariffs drunk on eggnog at 11:59 p.m.
This isn’t governing; it’s a man playing whack-a-mole with the economy based on whether his furniture shipment clears customs.
And here’s the kicker: every time Trump pulls this stunt, another loud GOP mouthpiece realizes they weren’t actually in the club. They were just the background noise. Trump didn’t delay tariffs for voters. He actually probably delayed them for himself.
Happy New Year, America. May your kitchen tables be expensive, your side chairs be Trump-tariff-taxed, and your president forever concerned about where the rich will sit while the rest of us stand in line.

And that’s the way this grandpa and political satirist sees it.
