I have built my career in Labour, as a Member of Parliament and as a Cabinet Minister. It's where I've met my closest friends and got to learn all about this community. But now it's time for me to move on. With that said, I hereby announce my defection to the Conservative Party.

What Conservative Shadow Home Secretary Edward Grant did is unacceptable, trying to rig an election in his favour is directly against the core values of democracy and our nation. If the Conservative Leader stands with democracy, he must fire the Shadow Home Secretary immediately.

I congratulate @WilliamC_UKOB on his election victory as the new Conservative Party Chairman.

Visited a hospital construction site in North London today as part of a project to bring better, more patient focussed healthcare across the United Kingdom. When it opens, there will be less burden and lower waiting times for thousands of people.

I congratulate Philip Hammond on his election as the new Conservative Party leader. To strengthen our democracy, bipartisan cooperation is necessary. I hope Philip Hammond will join me in that view and I'm excited to work together with him.

I was honoured to have received Canada's Foreign Minister, Bianca Miller at Downing Street with Prime Minister Alexander Richardson today. We had a productive discussion, and I believe that we will be able to achieve a lot together.

Though we may have different views, there is one thing I will never doubt — that John Major has always acted with a strong sense of duty for our nation. Over my time in politics, it has been a big honour to have been able to call him a friend. I wish him the best for his future.

I have officially introduced the Nightingale Treaty to parliament. This treaty will set up the World Health Organization and make health an active part of our role-play. This will mark the ambitions and great relations ahead as we embark on this new journey with BUSA.

Today, I met with Foreign Secretary Ardern to meet and discuss about the future of both BUSA and UKOB in our great alliance. We had a very productive conversation and got very far in our discussions.

Women have achieved so much, and yet throughout history they have been overlooked. Without them, we would have came nowhere. Let's bring women the respect they deserve, not just today but forever. I would like to wish everyone a happy international women's Day.

Before the referendum, I asked Owen Devereux to step down as owner because I knew that under him, we would lose the referendum. He declined, and just as I expected, we lost the referendum. UKB is heading in a wrong direction, and I can no longer be part of it.
