Yesterday, I ended my campaign for Governor. Before anything else, I want to say thank you. The values we fought for do not leave this race simply because I did. The best way to carry those ideas forward is to unite behind Sara Rodriguez and elect her as Wisconsin's next governor.

When it comes to climate action, I don’t wait. I act. Under my leadership Milwaukee County enacted its first Climate Action Plan and has already cut emissions by 50%. As your next governor, I’m ready to take that impact statewide by investing in solar, energy retrofits, and clean infrastructure that creates thousands of union jobs across Wisconsin.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee in a union household. My father was a master electrician. My mother was a Jane of all trades. Just like many families in Wisconsin, they worked hard. But just like many families, they struggled with addiction and mental health issues. Growing up, I learned that when systems fail, families pay the price. Throughout my career, I've looked for ways to do things differently, bring people together, and deliver results that improve people's lives. That's what leadership looks like, and that's what Wisconsinites need from their next governor.

Today is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As we celebrate with friends and loved ones, we remember that freedom is not a given. Democracy is not a spectator sport. It takes all of us showing up, using our voices, and taking action to build a just, equitable nation where we all can enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate @DavidCCrowley says the reason the GOP let a conservation grant program die is that they want total control in a divided government. "They always say they need stronger oversight for particular programs when there's been a Democratic governor."

High energy costs hurt household budgets and squeeze small businesses. My Badger Basics Plan expands renewable energy, modernizes our grid, and makes efficiency upgrades accessible to everyone.

Great spending time with the Monroe Democrats over coffee yesterday. Thanks for the warm welcome and the thoughtful conversation about Wisconsin's future. Listening to communities across our state makes me even more optimistic about what we can accomplish together.

When we bring all voices to the table, we can build a Wisconsin that works for all of us. Let’s get to work.

Disaster relief should never be held hostage for political gain or treated like a campaign strategy. I'm glad Wisconsin is finally getting the disaster aid we need. But the Trump administration delayed for months when our communities needed it. Where are the adults in the room?

I am open to all reasonable, pragmatic conversations about how to move our state forward, but Hasan Piker’s statements are beyond the pale and I would not appear with him if invited. I take governing seriously, and in order to produce the best outcomes for the constituents I serve I have to respect and listen to the needs of people of all backgrounds. That’s what I’ve done as the County Executive of Wisconsin's largest and most diverse county for the past six years. And, I’ve delivered by leading the county through a once in a generation pandemic, balancing budgets, and delivering the largest property tax cuts in county history. This race isn't about who can generate the most viewers on their livestream by making outrageous and offensive statements. It's about who has the experience to keep their promises, deliver for working families, and make life more affordable across Wisconsin. That's the choice voters will make.

It was a hot one in western Wisconsin, which made a stop at Olson's for ice cream an easy choice. 🍦 Then it was on to visit Volume One and The Local Store in Eau Claire before wrapping up with a packed meet and greet. Thanks to everyone who came out. Great conversations and an even better crowd!

Our democracy is one of the most sacred things we have as Americans. If we win a Democratic Trifecta, as governor, I will fight tooth and nail to ensure all Wisconsinites can cast their ballot without facing unnecessary hurdles, like the SAVE Act. That includes your right to keep your vote private. No one, and especially no one in the Federal government, should be able to access your private voting information and use it to intimidate or retaliate against you.

Wisconsin summer is in full swing, y’all. Thanks so much to everyone who came out for the @Waukeshadems picnic! It was great to meet with so many people who are ready to build a better Wisconsin for all of us.

This weekend has been all about joy and community. I have loved every minute of speaking with voters and community members in Marinette and Sheboygan. Thank you all so much for believing in the Wisconsin we are building together.
