@MaleficentCorgi About why murktide is back: It has always been good against the cascade decks, so it's back because of the unbaning of violent outburst. About why it is Izzet and not dimir: Izzet is the color comnination people enjoy most in all formats :D

Can someone help me understand why UR Murktide is back when Frog still exists? I see a lot of people playing UR again and I'm just really confused about why it's UR and not UB making a comeback. Genuinely curious

@toothymtg1 Agreed. Standard is in a good spot right now and people are still complaining about no bans in Standard

seeing content creators complain that there were no bans in standard every b&r is a reminder that most content creators are not good at magic. it’s completely unreasonable to think this month’s metagame information conveys a format needing bans, +the gameplay is great

The meta looks “healthy” wrt total number of viable decks. The issue I have is the gameplay and play patterns feel very scripted and it feels impossible to win games on the draw against talent/boom or elf/cub. This isn’t standard, it’s pioneer or even extended.

@d00mwake If Standard isn't fun for you right now than you are playing the wrong Deck lol.

Sac has remained tier 0 or 1 through metas with Karn, Lotus, S. Talent, Amalia, Appraiser, Cruise, Sorin, Uro, Prowess, Yorion decks, and to this day. The deck is always the most broken thing in Pio and just avoids bans by being hard to play.
