What's annoying is, you really don’t know what the dude eating knows or why he made the video. You want empathy for the Chinese man, because you have cultural understanding of his experience. You show no cultural understanding of what black men go through and how they feel. Our cultures and experiences are different. Understanding comes from mutual good faith communication and conversation. If you asked a black person about their experiences with staring then you would know more. I know plenty of Black people who have had really hard times adjusting to the culture of staring in China. For us, it comes with a tremendous amount of trauma, violence and pain. When you are conditioned to a certain type of experience, your body, adrenaline and emotions will react, and no amount of explanation can easily change that. There is no way I can express to you the cultural and emotional complexity of how many black men experience staring without going through alot of very long painful examples and stories of things I’m I don’t have to ever experience again since I left the United States. But you are correct, it is cultural misunderstanding and the sword cuts both ways.

@sixtoninee she could make this a personal brand of hers, but she really really needs to put out actual new music now. doja got away with a lot of real controversies and got a No.1 song because she has consistent output, while the "new songs" chappell has put out since fame are old ones.

I’ve realized that we all need to understand something about Chappell Roan. Fame doesn’t turn someone into a robot. Artists are still human beings with emotions, boundaries, and moments where they feel overwhelmed. When someone is constantly surrounded by cameras, crowds, and expectations, even small situations can feel intense. Not every reaction should be turned into a reason to attack someone online. Sometimes what people call “anger issues” is just a person trying to protect their space or reacting in a moment of pressure. That doesn’t erase the talent, the hard work, or the impact they’ve made. Fans who truly support an artist should also respect their boundaries. Support doesn’t only mean cheering when everything looks perfect — it also means understanding when they’re having a difficult moment. Instead of spreading hate or judging from a short clip, maybe it’s better to encourage her and let artists grow, breathe, and exist without constant criticism. At the end of the day, artists give a lot of themselves to the world. The least we can do as fans is show some respect and empathy. Let people be human. And keep supporting Chappell Roan.

Especially because Rich Harrison was HUGE at that time. Then get into “Past 12”. There were so many choices here. I’m well aware that this album was rushed but the single releases will always be jarring to me. And I’m pissed to this day over “Stole”. Beautiful song, horrible single.
