In the season FSG acquired Liverpool, (2010/11) matchday revenue was £40.9m. Last season it was £115.6m, an increase of 183%. Matchday revenue is average attendance x number of matches x average price. Fans have to pay VAT of 20% on top of the revenue earned by the Club too. Taking this into account, the price paid by a fan have increased from £42.44 to £82.11, which is 93.5% during the time that CPI has increased by 49.6%. Part of this will be due to an increase in the proportion of tickets sold to corporate/hospitality/member fans, but even so, is there justification in the increases in ticket prices to STH? Liverpool's success in attracting fans from all over the world is partly due to the vibrancy, the passion and the legend of the Kop (similar to the Stretford End, Kippax, Gallowgate, Clock End etc at other clubs historically) and current owners FSG have benefited from that. They are standing on the shoulders of giants, but they seem to see those fans as a historical inconvenience and now want those fans to either pay up or move on. @spiritofshankly @IanByrneMP @JamesPearceLFC

Lack of quality pacy wide play has killed us all season, contrast to PSG is stark. Every attack can be funnelled out wide and it slows to a crawl. Can't stretch the pitch and everything then has to become so intricate against a set defence to create a chance.

@Ian1892T Jones looks like his head is elsewhere. Can forgive Grav as he's been generally solid and essentially doing the work of two men a lot of the time.

Mac Allister been a mile off all season but Gravenberch and Jones have got away with murder at times

Goal sums up the season: unlucky but the build up to it meant Liverpool had earned the lack of luck. As with the game there last season every PSG player looks faster than our players.

What makes this team so annoying is they play well for periods of games but don't take advantage. Toil away trying to score and then make it so easy at the other end. Not like they're completely hopeless and can't compete, just so soft at key moments.

Play well for a while, don't score, concede a soft panicked goal. Even threw in conceding right on half time too. Great stuff boys.

Start well, do so.ething stupid, concede to oppo's first shot, amazing how many times that has happened this season. Playing really well and then ending up two attackers down 5 mins in to the next game also typical. Shit and unlucky.
