A paper on cross-validation (CV) with VB is available at arxiv.org/pdf/2102.06814…​. It proposes a novel VB method to perform model selection using CV for hierarchical cognitive models. My paper with @HungDao11762412, @robertjk59, @ngocmath1, @3rdincharge, and Guy Hawkins.

A new version of our paper on scalable particle MCMC is available on Arxiv. The paper is coauthored with Chris carter and @robertjk59; it proposes the particle hybrid sampler that is more scalable in the number of observations and parameters than previous approaches.

Our paper, with C. carter, E. Mendes and @robertjk59--at arxiv.org/pdf/1401.1667.… was accepted for publication in Statistics and Computing; it is the first to show how to flexibly combine particle marginal Metropolis-Hastings (PMMH) and particle Gibbs samplers.
