Donald Trump is swinging a wrecking ball at our democracy. I confronted him before when I voted twice to impeach him, and I’m running for Congress again so I can keep fighting for our freedoms and for Maryland families. Here’s why I’m returning to the arena:

I’m honored to have the support of the @MoCoLatinoDems. The Latino community in our district deserves a fearless advocate. We must confront the Trump administration’s relentless attacks on our neighbors, friends and family members and put an end to the fear that ICE has brought to our streets and our homes.

The White House's priorities are on full display: Americans can’t afford gas, rent, or healthcare – meanwhile, Trump is erecting an arena to throw himself a UFC birthday party at the White House. The cage match of the century! Families are struggling to keep their footing while the president is anxiously awaiting the knockout blow.

A very powerful morning at Fellowship Friday with veterans, service members, first responders, and military families in Frederick. From hearing stories of sacrifice to having engaged conversations about healthcare, mental health, housing, and the challenges many veterans still face after serving, today was a reminder that supporting our heroes can’t stop when they come home. We are grateful for their service every day.

Absolutely outrageous. I was there on January 6th. I saw firsthand the chaos Donald Trump caused when his supporters stormed the Capitol and tried to overthrow a free and fair election. A year ago, Trump pardoned these criminals, and now he wants to pay them. Congress must do what it can to stop this. It’s almost laughable that the president can find funds to pay the insurrectionists but not to fund healthcare, build housing, or solve the issues actually plaguing Americans.

Robin and Dean Rose brought so many Frederick County community members together last night to discuss issues collaboratively - from education to criminal justice to making corporations pay their fair share. The thoughtful energy during these discussions inspires me every day, and it’s exactly why I’m running - to fight for exactly what voters across MD-06 believe in.

Saddened today to hear of the passing of former Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank, a brilliant and pragmatic Democratic legislator and true public servant. From passing the Dodd-Frank Act in response to the 2008 financial crisis to being a trailblazer for the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community, he will be remembered for his legacy of courageously fighting for all Americans - even well after his congressional tenure.
