@RokerReport He had an injury that naturally derailed his adaptation to the club/league. There's a lot more to come from him, he's 22...people just need to be patient. Sadiki has had double the amount of games for instance and is clearly better off for it in terms of where he's at.

Bit perplexed reading the replies to this. I think I have been watching a different player to some of you. He hasn’t been our best player by any stretch but he hasn’t disgraced himself either. You’d think he’d played like Callum McFadzean the way some talk about him

João Neves, Vitinha and Zaire-Emery blend in midfield is a joy. Energy and efficiency. Can be popping it between them one minute, working the ball...then just hit a zip pass through to open you up.

Take Olise off with 10 mins to go so the Bernabeu can applaud him. This performance has been that brilliant.

@muhammadbutt Some show of dominance and control from Kimmich and Pavlocic. Technical gulf but just look stronger, quicker and with ease. Real Madrid (Valverde mainly) busting guts just to get close. It's mad.

That's pretty much as perfect a half at the Bernabeu you can produce. Bayern genuinely excellent and Real Madrid are not even getting close. Olise and Kimmich especially good.

It's unbelievable nothing changed after missing one World Cup but to still be in free fall after being absent from three is catastrophic. Blood on the hands of those in charge of Italian football.
