Just finished this sketch for my live demo at Alesmith in San Diego this Saturday from 4-8pm. It’s been a while since I’ve painted some mermaid action so it’s finally time!

So I snuck out of the studio with my bike and ended up in Sedona, AZ this weekend. This is one of my favorite places on this not even close to a flat rock spinning around the sun. The views, the energy, just everything about it. Here is a pic from the first day of riding.

I have all kinds of work that I SHOULD be doing…. But sketching some kind of samurai warrior wolf thingy cut to the front of the line this morning. Sometimes you just need to let the voices in your head have the pencil for a bit!

Started a new watercolor study for a future painting this week. It’s really exciting to work with mediums like watercolor, that I don’t get much time with. Always a healthy amount of creativity and frustration to beat them into submission. Color is finished, time for the linework

Just inking up a new logo design for my photography work with my micromanaging art director watching closely. Him and his damn TPS reports!

Had a chance to get out and ride at the Bradley Bike Park in San Marcos as well as shoot some photos a few times over the last week. Here are my favorite shots from the week. Looking forward to sharing more photography that helps recharge the art machine!

It’s been five years since I’ve did some plane sketching. Started this one on the ground and finished in the air. It’s fun to just jump into a blank sheet of paper with just a loose idea. Make art everywhere!!
