Soon we will assess learners using metrics designed for the industrial age and a world that doesn’t exist. It’s a system that has operated as it was intended since 1894; it’s just the wrong system. We need an AI Ready System that knows who learners are as much as what they know.

Since 1990 the U.S. education system has focused on outcomes based on industrial era metrics. We now find ourselves in the AI era where our humanness is our primary value. An era that demands a focus on what’s right with learners. Maybe it’s time to focus on learner inputs.
