Umm excuse me @ABC7NY & @DavidNovarro7 but HOT TRACKS DID NOT push Hip-Hop & R&B videos during the 80’s. Yes they played SOME Black videos but as I recall they played more white artists than Black. Pls do not white wash history. @VideoMusicBox is solely responsible for bringing

I was enjoying the story up until you added your homage to Hot Tracks after highlighting the Black pioneers of HH & Rap during Black History Month. I just didn’t see the need for that addendum. As we clebrate 50th anniv of Hip Hop, a goodie from back in the day. Hot Tracks featured videos from rappers, dico and R&B artists and pop. It was produced here @ WABC from 1983-89. 1 of the few broadcast shows to shine light on the community. #abc7ny youtu.be/Z-9xVwF5RCo
