MY WATCH PARTY/FIGHT COMPANION NUMBERS: UFC 309 - I was watched by 1.1 Million people Paul vs. Tyson - I was watched by 16.4 Million people. @jakepaul and @MostVpromotions is good for business, all business. And nobody in the game should be complaining.

You can tell the man knew exactly what to do. He took the bump on the side of the ring and essentially guided the man to ram him, then powdered out. The woman essentially did all the work on that bump as well, all she needed to do was ride the wave. Made for good entertainment, got a viral clip, got us talking and noone injury. Id say everyone handled it fairly well.

Fair point. Similar thing happened to hbk with a disabled kid. Everybody handled it like a pro. If you lose control of the situation, then yeah you take that mf out (look up Bret hart getting attacked at hof). But if the environment is still in control and noone is hurt; no need causing panic or hurting anyone.

All good, man. It can be understandably confusing given the relations we discussed. Promotion is just selling something at its core, right. Whereas reporting needs to be unbiased, so that it's not shilled promotion/PR. It can still promote in its own way, obviously, but it has to be honest and not just blatantly taking a side in a salesman way.

That last line there is the big one, as you're totally right and I agree. I think the problem here is the "promote" words use or blurring that line between what the promotion's job is with media's. Sure, broadly, they can be the same in a sense, as you mention, but they aren't the same overall.

Correct. Media isnt paid to promote/report. Yet UFC has the most press & media coverage, all the while ufc is a financially successful company in a sport on a sharp decline all around it. Does that effect not only the mma market and even your websites? I think, hypothetically speaking, the casual average mma consumer only knows ufc, they associate mma with ufc like my grandma associated every video game with "atari", ufc is all they known, they get bored with the product, they, idk, leave ufc London early after paying for expensive seats or get tired of the product, so they not only stop watching ufc, they stop watching mma entirely. I believe that philosophy of "its not the media's job to promote/report" is a nice way of saying "im only going to promote whats popular and will benefits me and my clicks". Its the media's job to make people care about the sport as much as we do, all areas of the sport, to grow the audience, not just maintain it.
