The police took this 99-year-old woman into custody just so she could cross it off her “to-do list.” In 2017, Annie from Netherlands, wanted to experience being "arrested" as a bucket list item. Local police arranged a mock arrest & brief time in a cell, with no crime involved.

If you were to leave IT/InfoSec/Cyber ... what would you get into?

Pentesting tests systems. Red teaming tests reality. Adapt to the physical world now, or get automated later.

If you can do social engineering, physical security walkthroughs, and hands-on field work, your path gets stronger. Future red teamers will spend as much time in lobbies, hallways, and parking garages as they do at a laptop.

Here's a heads-up for future pentesters. In a few years, the role of “pentester” as we know it may disappear. Not because AI is better. Because companies will choose what is cheaper. It's just a matter of time before seeing reliable and cheap AI pentests.
