Exactly 20 minutes ago, Donald Trump took the stage at Mar-a-Lago to cheers. Fucking CHEERS. Not only from supporters, but from members of Congress no less! Every American who sees this tonight should feel sick to their stomach that the MAGA movement is so far gone that a criminal would be worshipped in light of not only pretty disgusting allegations, but EMBARRASSING ones to our entire country and the office he once held. Donald Trump then proceeded to attack the very system these MAGA “patriots” claim to hold dear: A jury system of peers that determined based on the totality of evidence that crimes were committed. This toxic showing is merely emblematic of the blind cult-like rot that permeates the entire Republican Party. A Party that would put one man over our nation’s laws. It is time for the rule of law to mean that corrupt people, no matter WHO they are, will face justice for crimes.
