Cross reference: Hebrews 4:12. The Word is described by the Apostle Paul as a sharp 2-edged sword. This is the same sword in #Revelation

God warns the church at Pergamos to repent OR ELSE He will come quickly "and will fight against them with the sword of His mouth" Rev. 2:16

Then in Rev. 2:14-15 God condemns the church at Pergamos for profaning their bodies with fornication & by eating meat sacrificed to idols.

God praises the church at Pergamos for how they have held fast to their faith even in the face of persecution. Rev. 2:13

In each letter to the churches in #Revelation, God praises the church's good works and then calls them out on their shortcomings.
