I paid a plumbing company $4,400 to replace a sewer line under my garage, and now my garage floor looks like it lost a fight with a sidewalk 😭 They cut a huge section out of the concrete, repaired the pipe, and patched it back in with concrete that doesn’t even remotely match the original floor. So I asked the foreman when they planned to stain or finish it so it would blend in better… And this man literally laughed and said: “It’s a garage floor, buddy, not the Taj Mahal. Be glad it’s not dirt.” 💀 BE GLAD IT’S NOT DIRT?? I’m sorry, but if I’m paying thousands of dollars for a “professional” repair, I feel like the end result shouldn’t look like a random parking lot patch job. Now I’m sitting here wondering if this just tanked the appearance — and possibly the resale value — of my garage. Would you push back and demand they resurface the area properly, or am I overreacting?

@Hania16836 I thought I was devastated when my mom died in 2009.. my father died in 2024.. I became totally numb. it changes you as a person. Kinda like a mid-life crisis, but when you both your parents are gone, you are truly on your own, except you hear their words in your head.

@LASHYBILLS i still pay 15% as average. The BS industry keeps trying to guilt people into 20%, 22%, 24% and up. if the service is so so.. 10%.. decent 15%, and if they go out of there way to make our visit happy 20%.. No one will dictate to me,, how much gratutity I give..

@amna49854 Service charges need to be stated up front on the menu.. and if they are charging it, the staff need to be paid decent wages. Furthermore, I wouldn't eat at a place with those service charges.

@TaraBull there is no way in hell, back in 1993 that I would put up with the BS these kids did. I would of walked off without my diploma. There would be no way I would see these people again in my future. Not even at a reunion.
