The Physiology of Sedentary Behaviour (& potential benefits of⬇️or breaking it up) journals.physiology.org/doi/full/10.11… Our attempt at summarising the evidence, with still much to be disentangled - distinct mechanisms, interactions, dose-response? Huge credit to the talented @AnaJPinto👏

From grant application stage to publication it's taken 6 years of hard work. Many thanks to everyone involved in this study, it's been a huge team effort. Cost-effectiveness and process evaluation papers to follow shortly.

Mixed feelings. Thankful to be in good health and in good hands @SChealthnews. Disappointed not on stage for the “physical activity vs exercise” debate at #RTP22. Grateful to Lainie Cameron (aka Prof Quite A-skew) & Neil Smart for going above and beyond for “team exercise”.Enjoy!

The growing trend of working from home could be having a detrimental impact on our health. Experts say it's fostering lazier lifestyles, with a new trial underway in Melbourne hoping to convince workers to take a stand. youtu.be/4WiQW9Ti09c @jodilee_7 #7NEWS

@ASPActivity @ISPAH @narrowboat_paul Such an essential element - unifies the investments and clearly requires a systems approach. Tapping into expertise from other areas like smoking/drink-driving campaigns and applying evidence-based principles will be crucial. Tailoring messages for particular groups is important.
