Yesterday evening our esteemed Oakwood Glossop walking football teammate Alan Booth decided to finally hang up his boots at the tender age of 80 years and 4 months. You’ve been an inspiration to all of us Al. Thank you.

Reflecting on a challenging 2022. Started with son in intensive care, continued with daughter’s 2nd wedding, followed by two acting roles at the Partington Theatre, walking football Player of the Tournament and trips to Carcassonne & Krakow. Not a bad year really 🙂

Driven by duty, sustained by faith, made happy by her love for her dogs & horses. A remarkable human being, kind, considerate, consistent, instinctively generous & forgiving. She was the best & brought out the best in others. A wonderful example to us all. May she rest in peace.

Someone once told me the way to better at my job was to have more gravitas. The feedback floored me. It was radically candidly given and I appreciated it. But I was given no actionable advice to achieve gravitas.
