Final Update: Working Fire - 800 block of Upshur St NW - 6 adults were displaced as a result of the fire. Photos show smoke/fire conditions upon arrival to the fireground.

Box Alarm: 800 block of Upshur Street NW - two story mixed use property with smoke and fire showing upon arrival. Units working to extinguish at this time.

Working Fire: Update - 800 Block of Upshur Street NW Fire was located in a second floor apartment and on roof with minor extension to the roof of adjacent property. All fire is extinguished. One adult female transported with serious injuries.

The 2 occupants of this burning house were able to safely escape after being alerted by a working smoke alarm. Both had been asleep. There could have been a tragic outcome if not for the smoke alarm. Working smoke alarms SAVE LIVES!
