@wsferries Coleman dock down to one slip? Bremerton ferry has been out waiting for the 3pm Bainbridge to clear, but not a word about it. How long is this one-slip situation expected? I imagine it will make bother ferries late thru the afternoon.

@evthisrel Doesn’t seem like a BIM problem. You may want to have a chat with your estimators.

Model-based takeoff is losing a battle to a paper-based takeoff, especially at the beginning of the projects.

The #Autodesk desktop widget thing for updating and installing was a real piece of you-know-what, but with the new “Access” version it’s somehow even worse. Is it me or is ADSK just not even trying anymore?

This is bad. They should stop. It doesn't look like an actual product. There's nothing 'immersive' about this. It doesn't have to look realistic if it has a creative direction. When your core product looks like the painted walls of an abandoned daycare center u have to wonder.

@autodesk is there a reason importing a 350mb IFC into #Revit turn it into a 1.8gb RVT? Better yet, why does the process create 23gb in temp files?

Don’t want to hear another word about #DigitalTwins from @autodesk until they get religion on data governance. So long as a column has a “level” and beam has a “reference level” you’re just posing - just one example of many

@MatevzPetric @seandburke @BIMBoxUSA The right hardware horsepower matters. That said, Revit has some pretty specific needs for what makes it go faster. Just throwing a high end “CAD Workstation” at it won’t do it. Those are most often for things like Solidworks.

@MatevzPetric @seandburke Have you tried big projects with anything else? Hundreds or thousands of CAD files is worse IMO. While yes, there is some click-wait, with the right hardware it works. Currently in a two-tower high rise with my @BIMBoxUSA and I can’t complain.

@seandburke Well, Revit can be slow. You can't deny that. Big projects can be a pain.
