@tshugart3 Two can play this game. Trump closes strait to all traffic. The whole world will complain, but Iran will run out of cash quick.

I’ve said many times On Here that the loser decides the war is over. If this conflict ends with Iran still fighting, and in de facto control of perhaps the most important waterway in the world, then no matter how many strikes were conducted that’s what this would be: an L.
The White House@WhiteHouse

"We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great Military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the Terrorist Regime of Iran..." - President Donald J. Trump

@somn1s @tshugart3 It's a loss because the economic costs of this war far outweigh the benefits.

@tshugart3 So every punitive raid is a loss? If we actually destroy the nuclear, missile and major drone manufacturing facilities setting Iran back five years or more why should we continue fighting if the Iranian people aren’t going to make their move?

@SinaToossi It's quite obvious that the 2,000km limit never actually existed and Iran had been developing the capability in secret the entire time while telling the world another lie.

👇 What Brett McGurk presents as a “gotcha” actually encapsulates the core, recurring failure in US Iran policy: a persistent inability to recognize how its own actions drive the very outcomes it then cites as justification. Escalate, trigger a response, then use that response to justify both the policies that created the mess and going further. We’ve seen this play out time and again in US Iran policy. Iran’s 2,000 km missile limit was a voluntary restraint emphasized by Ali Khamenei, aimed at managing escalation, limiting dynamics that could fuel a wider security dilemma, and preserving space for diplomacy. Dismantle that context—walk away from agreements, pursue maximalist pressure, escalate to all-out war to collapse the country—and Iran responds by shedding those constraints and moving up the escalation ladder. It’s a self-reinforcing pattern—and a self-fulfilling prophecy that unsurprisingly leads to the kind of escalation and conflict many hawkish voices in Washington and Israel have long sought.
Brett McGurk@brett_mcgurk

Speaks for itself: Feb. 25, 2026: “We are not developing long-range missiles… we have limited the range below 2,000 kilometers” — Iran’s FM Araghchi (IRNA). March 20, 2026: Iran fires missiles at Diego Garcia—ranging 4,000 kilometers (WSJ). ⬇️

wait a speedboat got within gun range of a carrier battlegroup in the open ocean
Jennifer Jacobs@JenniferJJacobs

Breaking via @CBSNews: After an Iranian vessel sailed too closely to the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier, which has been operating in the Arabian Sea in support of the war against Iran, a US Navy vessel attempted to fire on the Iranian one using its Marck-45 gun mounted to the forward deck, but missed multiple times. A helicopter equipped with Hellfire missiles was launched and hit the Iranian vessel with two of the missiles. via @JimLaPorta

Patriot Vs Iranian Missiles On March 3 Iran attacked the Fujairah oil storage facility in the UAE. The attack was filmed by Chinese sailors. See that as I've been saying, the Iranian missiles apparently exert a superiority over the Patriot interceptors. Here are 6 Patriots against 2 Iranian missiles that hit the targets with success. Since the beginning of the war I have been reporting possible upgrades in Iranian missiles that seem to have left Patriots and David's Sling with a very reduced effectiveness. And it’s a major problem with the departure of the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford and its squadron from the Israeli coast even in the face of attacks on Israeli territory, I believe that the CSG came close to exhausting its interceptors. After all even being many days at sea, this type of mission is priority.

@resistance526 @DavidLe76335983 That’s not how drag works. Most RV deceleration happens higher in the atmosphere during reentry. By the last 10 seconds it’s already deep in the atmosphere and moving around 2–3 km/s. A sudden velocity drop there usually means the vehicle was disrupted by an interceptor.

@sumonkais Notice how all the fake videos are all 10 seconds in length. Oh and note to the peeps making these fake videos - sound doesn't travel multiple kilometers that fast. 2 seconds lag there...so person filming was what 500 meters away? Yea sure...

The Saudi East-West oil pipeline whose existence everyone is naively celebrating now has literally already been attacked by Houthi-launched Iranian drones all the way back in 2019. It's a pipeline. It's long, fixed and it starts at the Persian Gulf.

@Mikeymik190 @Earth_Vis @TheGreeneBJ The Iranian position is shifting day to day. First they said neutral ships are fine. Then it shifted to China only. Then they added Russia and India to the list. Yesterday they said "not one drop of oil" and blew up a neutral Thai ship carrying products bound for India...

It took Iran only 10 days to destroy all US radar systems built over multiple decades in the region costing billions of dollars. In addition, most of the interceptors in the region have been depleted, which will be difficult to replenish due to lack of critical minerals Trump’s gamble does not seem to pay off

Iran really outsmarted US/israel Over the days, Iran launched less and less missiles, while publicly stating they were going to use few missiles and more precision strikes, mainly aimed at US bases Then they launched the most massive attack yet and killed several gov officials
