@GenTXer2 Saw them first in the USA on the English Mugs Tour with Elvis Costello in 1981. Most recently a couple of years ago with The English Beat. DIfford & Tilbrook are exquisite songwriters. Love Jools Holland (upper right) in that pic!

@tevordoley22 @TheKro16 As @TheKro16 will attest, over-producing the art out of the song/artist is my absolute pet peeve. Let the art/artist shone through. Flaws & all. Real music is made by real people. Can you imagine The Band auto tuning Levon Helm?

@TheKro16 @DavidinSL It’s actually a great song minus all the choices made in the recording booth and post process. Like it has all the subtle nuances of one of his songs and the fiddle in the background is super nice but outside of that I’m just filled with a little sadness

Again, why do so many artists use pitch correction when they don’t need to be using it? They have great voices and it polishes things up nice but fuck the humility of the songs just go out the door for me when I hear they’re doctoring the voices in the slightest
