🇷🇴 Controversy at Eurovision 2026: Moldovan public gave Romania 12 points, but the jury gave only 3. Presenter Margarita Druță was visibly shocked when announcing the score, saying she was “in shock” and even considered refusing to present it.

Australia giving zero votes to Israel for #Eurovision is somehow a big up yours to them Yeah, when people fear for the sanity of the country, may I present Exhibit A

Does this mean Ireland has left the Eurovision for good? I mean, Israel isn’t going away. What would be Ireland’s grounds for returning? That we’ve made an ineffectual gesture and that was our plan?

I hope Sweden (and all other countries) has now learned that Night Club Techno music simply *doesn't* work very well in Eurovision.

It makes no sense that a country located in Asia should have so much influence over a song contest meant to represent Europe.

@joakial_ Because Australia is a European founded culture/State with a majority European ethnic diaspora; and we have a huge wonderful variety of other ethnicities here as well, many who also enjoy the participation The world is moving beyond geographic location for participation

after last night, Romania is the proudest country ever: -we got 12p from simeone else than moldova for the first time since like when? 2010? -we got points from EVERY COUNTRY in televote. -we tied our best result ever. -2nd in televote. 🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴❤️🇷🇴

@chicosversion Oh yeah I have! I remember talking to them about Eurovision and they said Bulgaria wasn’t really into it lol. I imagine that will all change now congrats to them!

@jasonomahony RTE cannot compete, thus thy they are "boycotting" the event. They have a recent tradition of "Null point", because they cannot afford to enter the contest. Their (now publiclly supported) antisemitism is a cover for financial difficulties.

It isn’t possible for Australia to win Eurovision and I’m at peace with that now

@isaiahnoblestwt I really think that the fans labelling them the favourite before many countries had even chosen their entry really hurt them, plus the new jury rules

I’m going to be honest, I only watched this year for Delta. I was not even going to give it any airtime at all but Delta is my favourite Aussie artist of all time & I couldn’t not support her. I’m proud of her and what she achieved. Gutted she didn’t win but top 4 is incredible.
