We’ve revised our demands (originally published Oct 2019) to reflect the changes at Davidson and in the world over the past 1.5 years. With the recent rise in anti-Asian hate crimes, we can no longer overlook the importance of teaching the history of Asian America.

This is our first theme for our new project through the COVID-19 Creative Initiative Grant. We are also receiving submissions on the Asian experience during COVID in general.

Send us submissions about "COVID in Academia" by Friday October 30th! (davidsonaai_at_gmail.com) Everything from art, creative writing, journal entries, thought pieces to essays, and even social media posts/stories/threads.

Come and learn about what we do and how to get involved! The Asian American Initiative is hosting an open house this Saturday 9/26 at 12EST. We'll cover our past programming and actions and introduce our projects for the semester. We hope to see you there!

A microassault (assumption = “everyone who looks/is Asian is the same”) & microinsult (“I know you from somewhere! We have class together, hi!”) = insulting & acknowledging with possible good intentions, but impact matters far more over intentions. @DavidsonAAI @DavidsonCollege
