Adventure Club days = the BEST days 💛🐾 Volunteer superstars Norma and Deanna recently took Sugar (#G25242) on a beach day adventure, and it was pure joy from start to finish. This 8-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix soaked up every second - rolling in the sand, sprinting along the shoreline, and flashing those big, happy smiles that say this is what life is all about. 🌊☀️ These outings aren’t just fun (though clearly, Sugar would argue they’re very important for that reason alone!) - they give our dogs a chance to decompress, explore the world, and show off who they truly are outside the shelter. And Sugar? She absolutely shines. ✨ Sugar has been with us for a few years and is looking for a very specific - but very special - home. She would do best in an adults-only household where she can take her time warming up to new faces. She prefers to be your one-and-only pet and would thrive in a quieter, non-city environment where she can truly relax. She’s crate trained, knows her basic cues, and has been working hard with our Pet Behavior team to keep building her confidence every day. Underneath it all, Sugar is exactly what her name promises - sweet, soulful, and so ready to love her person. Look who moved into a prime office space in Bianca’s Furry Friends: two-year-old Sunflower (#H212390)! 🐈 This tenderhearted beauty experienced an abrupt end to her tranquil life in her first home. She was taken into our Long-Term Care Home for just the right amount of TLC and acceptance she needed to believe in herself and others again. Sunflower has let go of her grief and bloom into a gentle, trusting lady. A quiet home as the only pet will mean so much to her once again, one with compassionate adults and older children who’ll let her gain trust at her own pace. She does however, love plopping right next to her favorite humans throughout their work day.
