Hearts manager Derek McInnes believes James Wilson’s move to Tottenham is not good for the 18-year-old’s development: “I couldn’t guarantee him minutes, such is the way it’s been. I told him and his agent knew that our preference was for him to stay, fight for your place, be part of something. “Get a loan in Scotland if need be, if you need to top your minutes up, and we can maybe recall you so you still get the best of both worlds. “I don’t think it’s the right move for him. Ultimately, it’s academy football and I think he’s better than that, but it was something James wanted to do. “He made the decision and I hope it goes well for him because he’s a great kid and we’ll see how it plays out.”

A lot to like about this guy. His positivity in the interviews are night and day to Dingwall’s prodigal son.
His energy and belief can only be a good thing and rub off onto the players. Kind of reminds me of McInnes vibes in his earlier days at Killie.

Good point but thought we were shite. Really tough watch. No fight, creativity or any urgency from us. Could have played for weeks and not scored. So many players way off it. Brown, Watson, Kiltie all non existent. Need players in January or we are down

Only managed 54 minutes (6 appearances) all from the bench. Came in last January but seems to be 4/5th choice currently. Strong in the air and a threat from set piece. Offers plenty of experience in both England and Scotland and very similar in character to former cb Joe Wright. Would Derek do his old club a turn?

Yes he is correct about the ref but this reaction is of a guy that knows his days are numbered.
Board need to act now to put the fans and the guy himself out of everyones misery.
The board/club are losing fans fast at an alarming rate and after all the hard work in getting record season ticket sales the hard work will be too much to claw back in the short term.
