ከ585,882 የ12ኛ ክፍል ተፈታኝ ተማሪዎች መሀል ያለፉት 48,920፣ የወደቁት ደግሞ 536,962 ሆነዋል። በሌላ አገላለፅ 91.6% ተማሪዎች ወድቀው 8.4% ብቻ አልፈዋል ነው።
ለዚህ የትምህርት ስርዐቱን የሚመሩት አካላት በዋነኝነት፣ መንግስትም በየደረጃው ሀላፊነት ወስዶ ምን እየሆነ እንደሆነ ለህዝብ ሊያስረዱ ይገባል።
ይህ ከግማሽ ሚሊዮን በላይ ትውልድ ምን ሊሆን ነው? ከሰሞኑ እየታፈሰ ወደ ጦር ማሰልጠኛ እንደሚገባው ትውልድ እጣ ፈንታቸው ይሆን?
