IBA, under Umar Kremlev, introduced financial support programs, governance reforms, and prize money initiatives, yet the IOC persisted in replacing it without clear justification. The rapid rise of World Boxing, despite concerns over funding and independence, raises serious questions about transparency and control. While the IOC frames this as a fresh start, the reality suggests a deeper power struggle. The IBA remains committed to defending the rights of boxers, coaches, and national federations. The real question is, was this decision about the sport’s future or simply about control?
