I'll use this as an educational moment.
You can -set- 1440p as the upper bound (67%), and down to a 50% as the lower bound (or 1080p) and the game engine will adjust to match the framerate target, if it can.
It doesn't matter what monitor I used, the internal resolutions were right at the PS5 Pro's targets.
But here's something the PS5 Pro -can't- do. Run PS5 Pro RT settings at up to 60 FPS. PC can.

Dusted off my PS5 after 2 years and bro I genuinely felt SCAMMED. Tested 1080p → 2K → 4K and I kid you not — ZERO difference. Same image. Same performance. Same trash frame rate. Not a single pixel changed. This is not a glitch. This is not a skill issue. This is straight up FALSE ADVERTISING. That "4K" you're bragging about? It's not real 4K. It never was. You want ACTUAL 4K? REAL performance? REAL image quality? Build a PC. Otherwise you're just paying PS5 or Ps5 Pro to live in a simulation and call it gaming. PS5 owners stay mad.
