@JasonAinTx @NDRepublicans If you think the rule of law requires suspending the rule of law until your "enemies" are defeated, what you’re advocating isn’t constitutionalism. It’s authoritarianism with a sunset clause that never comes.

@DayTraderBob1 @NDRepublicans No.. it’s recognizing that political faction — I call it ‘Team Soros/Obama’ (and their international partners like the EU) — is waging a war on this Republic and its people.. and in order to keep this Republic (and survive) we must acknowledge that war and destroy them first.

Returning to the rule of law should be a central goal of the conservative movement. A rules-based order is a central achievement of Western Civilization, and provides stability, predictability, and justice within a society. It also is what distinguishes the Western legal system from the tribalism and clannishness of the third-world. However, the only way this will be achieved is by using any and all means necessary to politically crush the left -- a fundamentally anti-civilizational force -- first. This may sound paradoxical to some but ultimately it is reality. You cannot have a rules-based system if one side continues to cheat it repeatedly.

@NDRepublicans So what do you guys actually believe in, on principle? Because it seems like you support expansive executive power when something is aligned with your agenda. But if something is misaligned with your agenda you believe in limited executive power.

The college football transfer portal team rankings are so funny. Almost every school in the top 25 is bringing in an army of portal players while Notre Dame is just sitting there at 11 with 7 commits. Quality >> Quantity in the portal Notre Dame is one of the few programs that still develops and retains the majority of the players they recruit.

@nopnop_ponpon @On3 @PeteNakos They are free to transfer. They aren’t free from the consequence of negative publicity. He’s a villain because he lied - not because he left school

@DayTraderBob1 @On3 @PeteNakos i was just pointing out that coaches love leaving schools for better situations yet a player like mensah is being presented as a villain for going to a better program. the situations are different but these are students free to transfer not employees. I do get what you are saying

@New_manager00 @PeteNakos In the case he is aware why they're upset with him - the mature response would have been something along the lines of "I apologize for the way I handled this situation and appreciate the support you provided during my season in Durham." Mature people apologize when they lie

Asked Darian Mensah if he had any message to Duke fans: “What do I want to say to Duke fans? I’ll probably just leave that alone. To be honest, they’re pretty hostile towards me. I’m obviously grateful for all the support I’ve received during the season. Duke’s a special place. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about that place. Changed my life in the best way possible. Grateful." More: on3.com/news/darian-me…

@GamecockWill69 @PeteNakos He won them a championship at their poverty school. There really should be only praise, but I guess they have to see what it’s like when he isn’t there before they understand how grateful they were to win

@nopnop_ponpon @On3 @PeteNakos I’m not a Duke fan. I’m a bring ethics and sanity to CFB fan. 1) Tulane did not have Mensah on a signed contract and he hadn’t publicly recommitted to Tulane 2) Miami paid Temple a buyout for Manny because the contract had buyout language

@DayTraderBob1 @On3 @PeteNakos Just how duke snatched him from tulane by paying big time money, miami snatches him from duke by paying even more money. Its just big fish eat little fish. Manny diaz also switched up on his contract with temple after he signed it and never coached a game there. hypocrite guy

@nopnop_ponpon @On3 @PeteNakos Duke took a risk by signing him to a 2 year deal for $8M. He had a phenomenal year. Duke should be rewarded for the risk they took by paying over market last year. Yearly free agency for every player, even signed ones, is insanity

@Titan_Cane Sort of ironic that a Miami fan is out here talking about the almighty power of a SIGNED CONTRACT

NOT how it works kid. ACC schools keep the money from the CFP but basketball tournament money is shared with all ACC members. Duke will have to share whatever NCCA basketball money it makes and WILL LIKE IT. There's literally a SIGNED CONTRACT by ALL the ACC university presidents
Barstool Blue Devils@BarstoolBDevils

I will say this, there’s not a single world in which we should share any March madness prize money with anyone 100% Miami keep all $20m contributed to the Mensah raid Commissioner Phillips established the precedent with football, we keep what’s ours

@DerekDohrman @heitner When coaches publicly reconfirm their commitments to a school then leave weeks later… yes. The public generally condemns them for unprofessionalism. It’s why many of them don’t make a public statement saying “I’m coming back” unless they mean it
