In May, DfG Nepal, in partnership with KOICA, successfully trained seven dedicated teachers through the “School Technical Education Programme.” With this training, these educators are now prepared to bring meaningful menstrual health education into their classrooms.

Last month, DfG delivered a two-day menstrual health educator training in Kampala, Uganda with equipping eight educators and four DfG staff. These leaders will play a key role in helping us reach 1,500 refugees with essential menstrual health education and resources this year.

This is the moment when a girl at the Nigeria School for the Blind got her DfG Kit. To have access to menstrual health supplies is to be remembered, seen, and included.

In a menstrual health education session with partner, Meals 4 Hope, one Venezuelan woman said, “I’m going to stop using my children’s old clothes, no more rags….With these pads, I won’t have fear, no more fear of getting stained.” Menstrual health turns periods into pathways!

DfG and READ Bhutan teamed up to distribute 351 Kits and menstrual health education to schoolgirls in Trashigang. Kits were made by DfG Nepal, sponsored by Strathfield NSW, and flown in by Drukair. A true global effort for menstrual health! 🌍

Did you know Days for Girls Kits are helping change lives in Lebanon? Over the past two years, the DfG Enterprise in Lebanon has reached more than 1860 girls with sustainable menstrual health solutions, helping to break barriers and build brighter futures.

When a mom living in a women’s shelter got a job in healthcare, @SmallSums - a local nonprofit in Minnesota - set her up with scrubs, shoes, socks, and a DfG washable pad Kit. Her story reminds us of how period products can help women feel confident and ready to thrive at work.

Without period products, girls are more likely to miss school or be unable to fully focus in their classes. On today’s World Day for International Justice, we remember that period justice looks like equal opportunities to participate in school, work, and social activities.

“I brought the menstrual kit that Days for Girls (DfG) gave me and showed it to my mother,” said one Cambodian student after a DfG education session. When we educate a girl, we uplift a whole community. Our work is not just changing individuals' lives; it is changing the world.

In 2012, @WHO and @UNICEF defined menstrual hygiene management as women using clean products, understanding “basic facts linked to the menstrual cycle,” and knowing how to manage it safely. DfG’s work helps people have the tools they need to menstruate with dignity.
