On this date in 1958, former #MNTwins OF Carmelo Castillo was born. He spent parts of the 1982-1988 seasons in Cleveland. He joined the Twins before the 1989 season in a trade and spent parts of 1989-1991 as a backup OF. Hit .240 with 17 doubles, 8 HR in 167 games. Died in 2015.

On this day in 1937, former #MNTwins LHP Joe Grzenda was born. Acquired by the Twins before the 1968 season, he pitched in 38 games for the 1969 Twins and went 4-1 with a 3.88 ERA in 48.2 IP. Traded before 1970 season. Pitched parts of 8 MLB seasons between 1961-1972. Died 2019.

Happy 43rd Birthday to #MNTwins minor league coach Takashi Miyoshi. After playing independent ball in the States and in Japan for years, Miyoshi joined the Twins staff before the 2018 season. Coached with @ETwinsBaseball. Was to be GCL Twins manager in 2020. Will be in 2021.

Happy 43rd Birthday to @WindSurgeICT manager Ramon Borrego! Born in Venezuela, he played in the #MNTwins system from 1996-2002. Since then, he has coached and been the manager in the GCL and was the manager of the Ft. Myers Miracle in 2018, and @BlueWahoosBBall in 2019.

Happy 46th Birthday to former #MNTwins infielder David Lamb. He spent big league time with the Rays (1999) and Mets (2000). He signed a minor league deal with the Twins before 2002. Spent most of season in Edmonton, went 1-for-10 over 7 games for the Twins. Rochester in 2003.

Happy 41st Birthday to former #MNTwins RH RP Matt Belisle! He spent 15 seasons in the big leagues between 2003-2018. He pitched for the Twins in 2017 and the second half of 2018. In 87 games (84 IP) with the Twins, he posted a 5.46 ERA. He went 3-3 with nine saves.
