What a brilliant morning of busking I’ve had in Sheffield. It’s been months and months since I’ve done it and today has reminded me why I love it so much. Gigs are always amazing but there’s something special about a stranger stopping in the street to listen to a song you’ve written in your living room, dropping a tenner in your case and telling you they really connected with the music and to never stop doing what you’re doing. Met some great folk and tested out some new tracks! 🧡

Got talking to some people on the train on the way to my gig yesterday and they asked if I’d play a few songs. I played 2 of my original songs and by half way through the second there were few groups of people all gathering around the seats, one of the groups was a lady with her 3 children, she said it’s the only time they’d been happy on their 3 hour trip from Scotland 😂 Just goes to show the power of music and that you can change peoples day in a positive way with just a song or two. I’m 33 tomorrow and as much I love the fact that I do music full time the last few years in parts haven’t been easy and you do sometimes question whether dedicating your life to chase your dreams on a maybe is a good idea, random small encounters with a family like this probably mean just as much to us musicians as it does them. l’ll see you at Donny fest guys, signed T-shirt will be in the post tomorrow 🧡

Hello you beautiful lot. Sorry for being quiet. Unfortunately been struggling with my mental health a lot recently so taken some time away, spoken to management and everyone closest and I’m going to keep off socials until the new year and just try and get my head back in a good place and enjoy Christmas best I can. I appreciate every one of you for your support this year, there have been some extreme highs such as playing Y Not Festival which was always a dream, played 150 shows in total, got 15 demos ready and the plans we have for next year are huge too and I do appreciate this, but when the dark cloud lingers the feeling of joy in anything can quickly fade and unfortunately my mind can go from happy to dangerously low in a short space of time. Jesus Christ that was a scare. Locked out for 4 days and didn't look like we were getting back into my account any time soon but here we are! Unfortunately had to factory reset and get a brand new number so get in touch and I'll ping it across to all my good pals / music folks Also lost loads of old demo's, photos and videos but we move.
