Under the supervision of Mr. Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, the ceremony for the exchange of two administrative positions within the Kurdistan Region Security Council was announced.
During a ceremony held today in the presence of Mr. Hama Said, Minister of Culture and Youth, and Mr. Hiwa Ahmed, Head of the Kurdistan Region Security Council,
Ahmed Khalid Muhammad Qadir as Director General of Asayish and Colonel Hewar Majid Qadir as Director of Silêmani Security officially began their duties. Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani congratulated them on starting their new roles at the Kurdistan Region Security Council and wished them success in their tasks. Then, noting the presence of the Minister of Culture at the ceremony, he emphasized the necessity of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Security Council.
He also stated that security is not a force for intimidation, but rather a force to protect the security and property of citizens and to dispel their fears. He mentioned that the duty of the security forces is to train their members in a way that strengthens the sense of trust and respect between citizens and the security forces.
