@TalkinYanks @spencernusbaum_ Why are they getting rid of Yovanny Cruz
English

Yankees are sending pitchers Jake Bird, Yovanny Cruz, Jack Cebert and Ben Grable to the Nationals for Luis Garcia Jr., per @spencernusbaum_

English

@michidelphia @MarovichDrew Man this has absolutely nothing to do with the Yankees lmfao
Bottom line is that a salary cap isn’t a solution, not to mention the fact that the players will never agree to it. I wrote a whole paper on it last semester.
English

@DcalWhatever @MarovichDrew Ya man didn’t peep ur a Yankees fan stfu
English

@Commanders27 @michidelphia @MarovichDrew And it’s widely agreed upon in all circles that the MLBPA is by far the best and strongest union
English

@DcalWhatever @michidelphia @MarovichDrew This falls apart when you remember EVERY OTHER AMERICAN SPORT LEAUGE HAS ONE.
English

@michidelphia @MarovichDrew Because it destabilizes the players union. The strongest part of a union is the fact that they can fight for each other’s best interests. If a cap is implemented, these players suddenly have to compete against each other for a limited pool of salary, weakening the union.
English

@DcalWhatever @MarovichDrew Why can’t it be a cap? Genuinely curious
English

@MatthewMKE98 @Dillon_stan28 I feel like it’s also from a perspective of wanting to save yourself, right? I mean I feel Skubal’s best fit was the brewers, they have a great farm system to back up a trade, AND you guys have a vested interest in keeping him off the dodgers, who you MUST play to win the NL
English

@Dillon_stan28 Every other team in the sport could of beat their offer
But the Brewers are constantly supposed to be the ones saving everyone
English

@Rays4Life13 @RyderBarrett @BaseballWRLD_ @elits02 I can agree with this take from a rays perspective…I just can’t in good conscience for the Brewers. They have been consistently good for the last five or so years, and I think a rotation stack of Miz and Skubal is too good to pass up. Gives you the advantage over ANYONE.
English

@RyderBarrett @BaseballWRLD_ @elits02 Would be suicide for a franchise like the Rays to give away one of their top prospects + for a 2 month rental when they knew Skubal would sign elsewhere after the season. Just doesn’t make sense for a franchise that utilizes and values their prospects much higher than the dodgers
English

@dclowen @MeekPhill_ You have to go all in on one of these teams. Unless you’re content to just make it to the playoffs and then lose every year. I just think getting Skubal was vital to the brewers not just for them, but also because they WILL run into him and the dodgers if they want to win the WS
English

@DcalWhatever @MeekPhill_ they are in that spot every year because they DON'T sell important guys for a 2 month rental who is signing in LA this winter anyways
English

So when would the Brewers best chance be if not this year had the pushed chips in for Skubal?
What are you saving those prospects for? 2040?
Vinny@HavingWetSocks
Because the Brewers actually need their prospects instead of the Dodgers who will just fill those holes in free agency anyway you fucking dumbass
English

@aleck_25 @dclowen @MeekPhill_ This is just blatantly not true. Superstars (like pitchers) usually shine the brightest in the playoffs. You can’t tell me that you legit think that Robbie ray is just as good of an add. I guess I just don’t agree at all with the sentiment that they didn’t need to get Skubal
English

@dclowen @DcalWhatever @MeekPhill_ Playoffs are a crapshoot. Robbie Ray type could do them just as well for a lot cheaper.
English

@GBP4EVER @ChiSoxFanMike @BrewPack8 Because it’s SO beyond worth it. Shades of ‘08 Sabathia. Skubal + Miz is damn near unbeatable in a playoff series. I’m a firm believer that if it gets you a WS win, it’s worth ANY prospects.
English

@ChiSoxFanMike @BrewPack8 Brewers could beat it but why overpay for a guy who is only going to stay for 2 months before he signs with LA? LA gave up 1 legit prospect to get a guy earlier then they could sign him in FA.
English

@AndrewBeadell22 @Sykbpu @yelichfans @JeffPassan It would’ve been worth it. Nobody was gonna beat Skubal + Miz in a short series. 7 game series they both start twice.
English

@Sykbpu @yelichfans @JeffPassan No reason to give up all that stuff for a rental when Milwaukee would’ve needed to give up more than LA anyway
English

@HavingWetSocks @MeekPhill_ Brewers can’t just win 90+ games forever. Gotta go all in at some point. There’s no better chance than the year where you can line up Skubal and Miz back to back
English

@DcalWhatever @MeekPhill_ They could pitch 9 shutout innings and the dodgers would win in extras
English

@HavingWetSocks @MeekPhill_ Skubal + Miz in the same rotation gives you the advantage over anyone ITL in a playoff series, I’d even venture to include the dodgers. This was the year for the brewers to go all in with that.
English

@MeekPhill_ Why would you mess something up that’s kept this franchise consistently good for 10 years for 3 months of a guy that won’t push you over the edge of the dodgers and was gonna sign there in free agency anyway
English

@LeekNabers Unplayable vs Righties and can’t field sadly
English

Jo Adell is pretty solid crushes lefties too I’m pretty sure. Could hit behind rice till judge comes back
Underdog MLB@UnderdogMLB
Angels engaged in active trade talks with several teams, including Yankees, per @FrancysRomero. Jo Adell, Jorge Soler could be traded in coming hours.
English

@JLas43_ @AaronBoone This is the number one issue of this regime. They’d rather die on their sword than admit they were wrong about anything,
.
English

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SAY IT WAS A POOR DECISION AND WE NEED TO BE BETTER IN THAT SITUATION
ALI SANCHEZ WILL NOT KILL HIMSELF I PROMISE
SHOW SOME FUCKING SACK YOU LOW T CUCK @AaronBoone
Brendan Kuty 🧟♂️@BrendanKutyNJ
Boone on whether Ali Sánchez should have held the throw to 3rd base: "Nah, just gotta have a good throw. It's playing catch. We're big leaguers and we're not going to not do things. Obviously an option is to hold it. But it comes down to, we've got to play catch better there."
English

Alright Brewers fans, let me hear it.
Who is/was a good player for the Brew Crew and was loved by all?
