DCHS Nerf War 2020

Great news, the rules are completed! Please please read them. We know they're a bit long, but they should make this year's a more fun and fair Nerf War. Every team will be given a physical copy of the rules, and anyone can ask for one for themselves. docs.google.com/document/d/1m8…

I would like to thank all teams for their participation. We raised a ton of money for the family resource center, and it was a fun month. Despite being hard sometimes, Christian and I enjoyed being judges and running the thing. Again, thanks all. Signing off... For now.

I am both pleased and sad to announce that the Nerf War has come to a conclusion. The winner of this war is team Leaf. Locked and Loaded came in a hard fought second.

Breast mode I know u beat us pretty bad and all and that u are moving to the final four, but it really wasn’t cool of u all to tea bag our dead team mates. We will definitely be rooting for leaf in the next round @DchsWar

If you have any questions please contact us. We are also considering an extension of this round. Again, in this week and all weeks coming, only kills from that round matter, and ties will be broken by teams agreeing to something themselves.

There have been only a handful of teams actively playing, and even last week we had a problem with totally defensive play. We feel, for the speed of the game, that this change will encourage getting kills, and discourage teams being able to sit idle.

All the judges, after hearing from multiple teams about how they wish things were more aggressive, and observing the war seriously slowing down and not having many kills, are now making it to where from today onwards, ties are no longer broken by previous weeks kills.
