This is *exactly* what I predicted would happen. I said Chinese models would have advanced cyber capabilities within a matter of months and the only thing to do about it was to use AI-powered cyberdefense to protect our systems. Trying to gatekeep models doesn’t work.

We think of this evil as Marxism. The great book of Genesis thus portrays mankind as riven by an eternal fratricidal conflict. Those who reject genuine sacrifice become embittered by their subsequent failure ("rejection by God"). Instead of repenting and changing, they turn to revenge. And who do they target? Those who strive to do well and offer what is best. I can't believe how much wisdom the author of Genesis 4 compressed into that story's few sentences. You might even come to believe that God Himself had a hand in it. Truly: it's uncanny. The first two human beings born into history are, respectively, a good, honest productive man and his brother, who allows himself to be consumed by resentment and the desire to destroy. Communism, in a nutshell.

Actual evil - entropy filtered through human agents - tends to be subtle. At its root, evil means nothing beyond "making things worse (for life of our kind)" - taking potentially or actually complex and fractal systems and collapsing them into something lesser. Five current examples: the anti-nuke movement, 4B, anti-natalism, non-education of women, and disparate impact doctrine. All of these things will affect life, in a civilized country over a century, far more than 5% of young male fighters dying generationally in war.
