@DeChurching I agree, and even if we do have a female Archbishop, keeping the role and rule in place won't solve the problems. Having token people in positions of power without the ability to bring their strengths or uniqueness with them doesn't change anything

@MattDrapps I think they have missed a trick to overhaul the whole approach. Remove Canterbury from the global role and make us world leaders in inclusive ministry. But maintaining the power will come first. Also why the female contenders won't prevail. Too much misogyny.

Today was really difficult. While I was leading worship, someone from my past walked into church. He was my supervisor & pastor in Liverpool—the one who sent me to conversion therapy. His presence shook me to the core.

And actually, while I’m on the subject on #disabilitybenefits … Calling them benefits is fairly messed up in itself. There are no benefits to being so unwell you have to rely on money from the government/taxpayer. It doesn’t address the grief, loss, of being unable to work

Let me clear up a couple of things for you. Motability cars are not free. Without UC my family and I would be homeless. PIP fraud is less than 1%, statistically insignificant. Stop targeting disabled people who have enough shit on their plates already!
