Trump and Iran reached an agreement on two-week ceasefire
The reaction was instant:
- WTI crude: -22%
- DXY: -1.4%
- S&P 500: +2% overnight, +7% from lows
Six weeks of war premium leaving prices all at once
Classic de-escalation impulse, but before you get too excited:
This doesn't reset the damage already done
Five weeks of oil above $100 already started the inflation chain:
- gas prices reacted in days
- freight costs reacted in weeks
- food and services will feel the consequences in few next months
